Alia Bhatt becomes brand ambassador of Samsung’s premium Galaxy smartphones
The Movie Calendar Alia Bhatt is a busy girl, even on her birthday.
The actress, who began her Bollywood journey with Karan Johar-directorial ‘Student of the Year’ in 2012 at the age of 19, turns 28 today. And, there’s no stopping her.
In nearly nine years of her career, she has left her fans amazed with remarkable performance in movies like ‘Raazi’, ‘Highway’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Dear Zindagi’, amongst others.
The youth icon has a number of movies in her kitty, and is currently awaiting the release of a few.
Here’s a look at her upcoming films:
‘RRR’ Alia Bhatt released her first look from SS Rajamouli-directorial ‘RRR’, short for ‘Rise Roar Revolt’ on her birthday.
The actress will be seen portraying the role of ‘Sita’ in the upcoming Telugu period action drama.
The movie also features actors Ajay Devgn, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan. Several international actors including Olivia Morris, Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson have also been roped in for the flick.
Helmed by ‘Baahubali’ director and produced by DVV Danayya, ‘RRR’ is expected to release in multiple languages on October 13 this year.
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ Alia Bhatt left the audience speechless in a never-seen-before avatar after the trailer of ‘Ganguabi Kathiawadi’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was released last month.
The film is based on one of the chapters of noted author S Hussain Zaidi’s book, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’.
This is Bhansali’s first collaboration with Bhatt, also starring actor Ajay Devgun in a special appearance. This project will also see Bhansali Productions collaborating with Jayantilal Gada’s Pen India Limited.
The film faced a minor hiccup after the director tested positive for Covid-19. Bhat also texted herself as she was shooting for the film in Mumbai with the film-maker.
The makers have announced the theatrical release date of the film on July 30 this year.
‘Darlings’ ‘Darlings’ marks the Alia Bhatt’s debut as a producer under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions. Touted as a dark comedy, the movie will be backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Billed as a story of a quirky mother-daughter duo, the actress will also star alongside Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew. She has been busy shooting for her first production venture’s in-house project.
The news about Bhatt’s production house has been doing rounds since 2019, but nothing official was said about it so far.
Written by Parveez Sheikh and Reen, ‘Darlings’ is produced by Gauri Khan, Bhatt and Verma. The film went on floors this month.

Samsung India has roped in actor Alia Bhatt as the brand ambassador for its premium Galaxy Z Series foldable smartphones.

Meanwhile, Samsung has announced that pre-bookings for Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 will open on August 24 in India.
Consumers can own Galaxy Z Fold3 at ₹ 1,42,999 and Galaxy Z Flip3 at ₹ 77,999 (including offers) during pre-book, the company said
